A926 Emergency Gas Repairs -Update

Update on SGN Works – A926

Please note the following update regarding the ongoing SGN works on the A926.

SGN has confirmed that, due to the deteriorated condition of the existing metallic gas main, they will now be renewing approximately 1 km of pipe and replacing it with new Polyethylene infrastructure.
As a result, there is a minor adjustment to the current road closure boundaries.
This amendment does not affect the established diversion route, which will remain in place throughout the works.

In relation to the programme, SGN initially indicated an estimated duration of around three weeks. However, with the expanded scope now involving full pipe replacement, the works are currently projected to take approximately 5–6 weeks to complete.

Perth & Kinross Council and SGN have arranged weekly progress meetings for updates and will keep you informed. As the replacement work advances, we anticipate being able to provide a more accurate completion date.
